Dessert Scores a Home Run!

So I have this friend. Her kids, twins, are turning ten this week (which is unbelievable to me, but that's another story), and they play baseball, both of them. Their team colors are purple and black, and their mom asked me if I could maybe come up with some baseball cake truffles, too, and she would take them to practice on the kids' birthday as a treat. The result was a set of cake truffles that, while they took some time, turned out pretty flippin' cute, if you ask me. Or the mom. Or the kids who ate them. Or most importantly, the birthday girl and boy. Happy Birthday, T and M!

Little Annie is having her spring piano recital this weekend, and her momma wanted some cake truffles to take for the dessert table. Piping on the music notes was fun, and the spring colors brought it all together very nicely!

Spring is Here!

You can't quite tell this week, with flurries flurrying, and cold winds blowing, but it's really spring! And spring-themed cake truffles are all I can think about!

Last year I was still so new at this, and my work reflected that. I'm proud of how far I've come, and I'm easy on the me of a year ago, so I share these from last Easter with you, and believe me when I say that this year's will be entirely different cake truffles, and you'll love them! Can't wait!

Irish Eyes are Smiling...

...well I can't speak for all Irish eyes, but the ones who got some of my St. Patrick's Day cake truffles surely were smiling today!

Thought I'd share a few of my favorite cake truffles that I've done, and since I was lucky enough to talk Sara at Sara Rogers Photography into photographing them for me, I have beautiful pictures with which to share them. I'd say that makes you and me both pretty lucky, doesn't it?  Enjoy (and watch for more to come)!
